My name is Nicholas Rotas. I was born and raised in Sacramento, California. I am a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who received my undergraduate degree in Biology from UCLA and my Doctorate in Dental Surgery degree from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1981. My Oral and Maxillofacial surgery residency was done at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. I have been in private practice since 1986. I am a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and belong to a number of organizations: American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ACOMS), International College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ICOMFS), California Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (CALAOMS), American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (ADSA), International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), American College of Oral Implantology (ACOI), American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), and the Sacramento District Dental Society (SDDS).
I have devoted my professional career to all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with special interests in the treatment of dentoalveolar problems (wisdom teeth and tooth removal), placement of dental implants and bone grafting for dental implants, oral pathology and oral medicine as well as maxillofacial trauma. I keep abreast of the latest developments in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery by constantly attending seminars, courses and reading the latest literature pertinent to my field. I have always exceeded the continuing education requirements of California.
My hobbies include traveling and photography. I’ve been married for 29 years to my wife, Carol. We have four children: Christina, William Nicholas, Christopher and Katherine.
